The shipment covers the stainless steel integral Head plate and related materials of the project, with the clad (explosion-bonded) Head plate to follow according to contract milestones. These large-diameter stainless steel Head plate will be used by the owner's gasification equipment workshop to fabricate dedicated pressure equipment for gasification units - critical pressure-containing components that place demanding requirements on product quality.

The Head plate supplied in this batch cover multiple specifications of large-diameter EHA elliptical Head plate and CSA/CNA conical Head plate , with the largest nominal diameter in the 3400 mm class, in austenitic stainless grades such as S30408 (304), S31603 (316L) and S32168 (321).
Manufacturing is executed to GB/T 25198-2023 Head plate for Pressure Vessels, with clad plates referenced to NB/T 47002.1-2019 and NDT to NB/T 47013-2015. To meet gasification service conditions, SUNLION applies enhanced controls: intergranular corrosion testing of material and welded joints per Method E of GB/T 4334-2008, with no intergranular cracking after sensitisation and bending tests; 100% radiographic testing of welds and 100% penetrant testing of the corrosion-resistant layer, accepted at the more demanding grade; cold forming followed by post-forming heat treatment; splice weld transition zones ground flush with the base metal prior to forming; continuous protection of the internal surface throughout forming to preserve corrosion resistance; and Charpy V-notch impact testing of base plates at -20 degrees Celsius.
