Sunlion announced today the successful delivery of the first batch of critical equipment components – large-diameter heads and cones – for the Yingkou Coastal Base Phosphorus Chemical Project undertaken by China National Chemical Engineering Group (CNCEC). The shipment, with a maximum diameter of 6,400mm, has been loaded and dispatched, marking a key milestone in the manufacturing and delivery of core equipment for the project.
As a national key phosphorus chemical project, the Yingkou Coastal Base imposes stringent requirements on equipment safety and durability. Sunlion's order includes the manufacturing task of heads and cones with a maximum diameter of up to 9,200mm, which is among the most challenging specifications in the industry. Although the first batch of delivered components has a diameter of 6,400mm, their manufacturing process and quality standards are fully aligned with the 9,200mm ultra-large specifications.
The company's technical team optimized spinning forming processes and heat treatment procedures to ensure that the welding seam accuracy and forming tolerances of each component meet the usage standards for high-temperature and high-pressure production environments in phosphorus chemical plants.
The transportation of this first batch of components can be described as a "logistics battle". As the cargo is classified as oversized and overweight indivisible large pieces, the transport fleet needs to cross three provinces and one municipality.
The height restrictions of bridges, tunnel widths, and road complexity along the route all pose challenges to transportation safety. To this end, Sunlion's logistics team launched a special guarantee plan in advance: on one hand, it organized dedicated personnel to conduct on-site surveys of the entire transportation route, accurately calculating bridge load-bearing capacity and clearance; on the other hand, it equipped professional escort vehicles, adopted off-peak night driving strategies, and customized special tooling fixtures for multi-level cargo reinforcement to ensure zero displacement and zero deformation during long-distance transportation.
With the smooth departure of the first batch of 6.4m-level components, Sunlion has fully entered the production phase of the 9,200mm ultra-large specifications. A company project manager stated, "
