Overview of EN 10219 Standard

EN 10219 is the European standard for cold formed welded structural hollow sections. It is widely used in construction and mechanical engineering fields.

Product scope: Cold-bending welded round, square and rectangular hollow sections, not seamless pipes.

Standard structure:EN 10219-1: Technical delivery conditions;EN 10219-2: Dimensions, tolerances and section properties;EN 10219-3: Stainless steel hollow sections.

Material features: Carbon steel and fine grain steel with excellent weldability; some grades guarantee low-temperature impact resistance.

Manufacturing process: Cold forming + high-frequency welding; weld seam full NDT inspection, no overall heat treatment required.

Certification: 3.1 / 3.2 inspection certificates supplied; CE marking is required for EU market export.

Applications: Building steel structures, support frames, guardrails, bridges and mechanical engineering constructions.
